"Once upon a time, there was a woman who discovered she had turned into the wrong person"
The invisibles by Cecilia Galante is a fun, exciting read about a group of friends trying to figure out their lives. Nora has a terrible secret that she deals with daily. It drove me insane trying to figure out what she was keeping inside. She let's this effect her life in many aspects. She gets a call one day about an old friend being sick and needing the group to get back together. Nora, Ozzie, and Monica all fly out to see Grace. Grace is battling a mental illness and while the girls are there helping her, they decide to battle a few problems of their own. Each girl, has a terrible secret or is in some kind of trouble. This is their journey to finding peace with their secrets and actions of the past.
Cecilia Galante is an excellent writer! It is absolutely amazing how each girl's past brought them together as kids, and is now happening all over again as adults! Galante gives her characters such emotional pasts, it's easy to get swept up into the characters and feel with them. This book took my emotions for a wild ride, which I was not expecting. To be honest I just wanted to read a few chapters and then go on with the rest of my day. The moment I picked this book up, I knew that The Invisibles were going to be the rest of my day!
It is never too late to figure out who you are or who you want to be!
